You can't beat a Porsche 911 Turbo as far as overall performance and handling.

Sorry Stephen, I like the Carrera :D
Though the newest models are getting a little ugly it seems... oh well

I think a F50 would beat the porsche 911 turbo...
I personally would like the Ferrari 360 Modena. It's only like $100,000 or so and it's a nice looking car.

Sorry Brian, I'm afraid the Carrera is an inferior product. I do like the styling from the late 90s, though. :)

Ricard Rydell's Volvo S40 from his '96 touring car championship!
on a more realistic note I'd have to say 62 Corvette or Shelby Cobra for North American cars, in terms of Europian cars I'd have to say the TVR Tuscan and japanese I'm going with the WRX P1.

The F50 may be a faster car, but the 911 Turbo handles better. It has a better score in the slalom and braking tests according to Road and Track.

I agree with Victor in saying the Ferrarri 360 Modena is one of the sweetest cars, and one of the better looking Ferrarri's. And besides.. its a Ferrarri! How many of those do you end up seeing on a daily basis as you might a 911 or other performance car.

Unfortunately, over the years, I've become less informed about hot cars... as such, please excuse my choice if it seems somewhat ghetto because I dont know much about cars anymore...
I'd take the Ferrari spyder car... that's the name right?
If not... an Acura NSX or Mazda RX7... i heard there's an RX8 or RX9 coming out though?

I would go with a 70 Chevelle SS with the 454 LS6... otherwise a 69 Camaro ZL1 with the all aluminum 427 in it... 600 horse stock rated CONSERVATIVLY! Now put that up against some of this rice..
God I hate rice! Why waste all that money on something that sounds like a bumble bee, looks like crap, and in order to break 14 second quarters it will cost exarbant amounts of money? I plan on finishing my monte carlo for under 3000 and I'll be in 12s... try to put rice in the 12s and it'll cost 20k+... even base cost is absolutly amazing... muscle cars can be found for 5-12k and they will still blow the doors off most rice

M5. The ultimate combination of class and performance.
Although I'd take a 911 Turbo for the handling or a Ferrari just to hear the engine scream every time I revved it up... Mmmmm....

SWEET. Someone else chooses the M5!
EA needs to make a new Need for Speed with the return of an M5.
911 Turbos ain't bad either. =)

I'm afraid the Carrera is an inferior product
I drove a sweet 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet last year. Mr. Cumming, I believe you might have a change of heart if you get the chance to get behind the wheel of one of these beauties. While there may be "better" cars out there, it's hard to call a car like the Carrera inferior. Of course I wouldn't complain if you gave me a Turbo instead of a Carrera! :)

an Acura NSX or Mazda RX7
Damn, you were thinking of my two dream cars. These are completely realistic and attainable cars, unlike something like say.... a McLaren F1...
Too bad Mazda stopped production of the RX7 in 1999 :( Yes, they came out with the RX8, but I'd still rather have an RX7....

Toyota Supra Turbo
The Supra Turbo MKIV used to be on my list but now they don't make them new.. it seems like you can only get "modded", riced, or broken ones on e-bay now.
I wouldn't mind getting a Skyline from Japan..

Why settle for one? Ferrari F50 and 550 Maranello, Porsche 911 GT2, BMW Z8 and M5. Always good to have backups when dealing with cars like these.
