Has any one used safari.oreilly.com ? I'm thinking of getting a subscription. safari.oreilly.com lets you read the books you need as you need them. They have several hundred books online, 4 pages worth of .NET stuff. They have content from other publishers in addition to all the Oreilly books. The concept is that you get a bookshelf and you pick books to put on it. The basic subscription allows you to have 5 books on your shelf at any one time. The catch is, you have to wait 30 days before you can swap one book for another. I guess I'll try the 2 week trial first, but does anyone use this service and have any comments on it?

now this is pretty awsome. i'm not really sure if it is worth the price yet, but it seems like a really good idea. what i don't like is that you have to wait 30 days to swap out a book, and get a new one to read. something else i don't understand is...is this similar to a library, or do you "purchase" the books? but i'd say this is an interesting concept, hopefully it will get better, and they change the 30 day way to get rid of a book.

They should have something like in law where you can order subscriptions as they come out. You just keep updating the books you have with supplements.

I have been A Safari memebr for two years, and worked with a digital books company that distributed OReilly books for a year before that. I have the year memebership for 10 books and I could not live without it. Worth every penny. Cautionary note, make sure your getting the LATEST EDITION of your book. The have multiple editions for most of the text.

One year later, I am here to reply your message :D

I tried, but gave up finally. There are only 5 or more books, but you have to pay every month.
